Hi, I'm Jonathan (though most people call me Jono)! I'm so glad you stopped by my portfolio. I hope as you explore it, you'll feel inspired to reach out—I'd love the opportunity to connect with you.

I have always loved stories; whether I’m sharing my own or listening to someone else’s. From the pages of a novel to the flicker of a campfire conversation that stays with you long after the embers die, stories have the power to inspire, challenge, and move us to action. Over the past 15 years, I’ve helped organizations harness the power of storytelling to connect with customers and inspire meaningful action.

My professional life started at the University of Minnesota, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. From there, I built a career spanning nonprofits, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and even co-founded GetKnit Events, an events and marketing company in Minneapolis. I’ve worn just about every marketing hat you can think of: copywriter, campaign strategist, email marketer, web developer, PR liaison, leader, and many more. I’ve worked in-person, remotely, and everywhere in between, leading small teams and big ideas to success.

As an ENFJ, I have a knack for understanding what makes people tick and translating that into campaigns that connect and convert. I’m creative, but also analytical: numbers help me uncover patterns, measure impact, share stories, and fine-tune strategies that work.

I’m a tech enthusiast who’s introduced tools that save money, simplify processes, and improve user experiences. I’ve made it my mission to identify areas of friction and create seamless solutions that help organizations grow. And whether I’m working with a team or leading one, I bring energy, empathy, and a collaborative spirit to every project.

Life outside of work is all about the people who matter most—my wife, our close friends, and our family. We love welcoming people into our home, catching up over food and conversation, or simply enjoying time together. When it’s just us, you’ll often find us at home with our dog and two cats, diving into a movie and pressing pause on the world for a while. And when wanderlust strikes, we’re off exploring. I’ve lived in Minnesota, Arizona, and Spain, and have visited 12 countries so far, building connections with people from all walks of life. At the end of the day, it’s all about fostering connection, whether through heartfelt stories, creative strategies, or sharing a laugh that brings people closer.

I believe we’re all here to create something meaningful, and for me, that means building bridges between people, ideas, and possibilities and using every tool at my disposal to tell stories that truly matter.
